What is your character name (in-game) and what class do you play?
Hi there! How may I smite thou?
My name is Sigward and i thread in the path of the holy light as a Paladin!
What hours do you typically play (cite time zone as well.)
Mainly European times, that be anywhere in the 16.00 - 24.00 CET range.
How active during the week, well, it depends how often I get to the gym, rugby trainingsessions, working overtime or just out drinking with friends. Last one happens more rarely now that one has reached a more mature age of nearly 40, having a wifey and 2 kids. But venturing into the nightlife with rugbymates is always someting special.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft (how long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc?)
Well, I started of with WoW in the spring of 2005, when my cousin lured me into the grasps of this game. I did play for over a year, but then other things in life took over and I stopped playing, one such thing was the MMO EVE Online, where I were active for some 8 years, mainly in various corporations and alliances in nullsec space. Where dedication and hard work really was appreceated and always payed off. Though asked to step up to claim higher roles within various corporations, I didn't feel I had the time to fully go down that rabbithole, it was enough with co-ordinating operations within our own corporation and focusing on NOT getting everyone killed in these operations. As you might know, in EVE, if you die, you loose what you died in, the shiny space ship with all the shiny modules, that might cost some €100, ship destroyed, all gone. So thus the motto: "Don't fly what you can not afford to loose".
Now a reference to EVE Online may or may not be of any help. But if you have any experience from EVE, the community there is what makes the game, being part of an active corporation in EVE was a must for me, to interact with other people and just have fun doing stuff together, may it be farming, doing raids into enemy territory or just dieing together in a huge clusterfuck. And that is basically what I look in a Guild here in WoW. To have a great time with other guildmembers.
But back to the question, I've played a year when WoW was first launched, then again a month or so when borrowing my wifeys pc (then gf), liked it, but didn't want to get immersed into a MMO again. That took a turn when she asked if we could play WoW together during this years spring. So I reactivated my old account, created new characters and we played for some 4months together.
Then the word of Classic came to existance and I waited and and wanted to see how it got on. Getting that nostalgia feel back and suddenly I was hooked again. So now I'm back in WoW Classic with a Paladin, having fun, all thanks to my wifey, who wanted someone to play with and now she mainly plays with her best friend. hehe.
But I still enjoy doing random dungeons and trying to make that gold, by farming, by mining, by crafting and more farming. Did I mention farming?
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild.
Well, I've been looking for a guild to join. Me and my wifey (ingame character Mea) have been looking together for one to join. I'm in no way a hardcore WoW player, I kinda play casually, but when in a dungeon, I do try to make my best to help the group, always more fun if we actually can make it on the first go.
And as I aldready mentioned, I'm looking for a guild with a good social community, it is by far a must for me. To log on and have fun together with guild members is what I'm looking for. There's been a few we've been thinking of applying to, but the Nighthaven guild kinda caught our eye in a different way. First of all, a fantastic homepage! When we then read the "Welcome to Nighthaven" intro post, well we got hooked. This is what we're looking for, and thus the applications are under way.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I like to help people in games. Specially in WoW Classic, since it is quite different from WoW retail, and feels that many don't understand that. As I mentioned my years within EVE Online, there's a lot of Corporation/Guild experience from there. Not that interested in having any leadroles in the near future if I join, but I'm sure I can bring some leadership to this guild in the future. Probably my old commanding skills from EVE will take charge in dungeons and in sticky situations. But ofcourse I will always follow commandstructure and listen to the ones in charge.
In return, I hope that this guild can give me a new home in WoW. A place to meet friends and have fun playing a great game. Join events and socialize, and thus hoping for many laughs in return.
Where did you hear of us?
My wifey (Mea) found your guild and forwarded your webpage to me.
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven (if so please cite the person)?
No.
Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
Well I figure I've already addressed everything I can think of for now.
But in three words: Social, fun, helping.
