What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
Elidore a Level 24 Paladin
What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
Normally after 8pm GMT
What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I've played wow since late 2004 with my first character being an Arms warrior that i pvp'd with rigorously during most of Vanilla
I broke into the casual raiding scene in TBC with a close knit guild of players who helped me develop as a player during this time, this continued on till the end of Wotlk where things turned slightly more hardcore due to our drive to down Arthas before cataclysm was released. We managed to defeat him after months of trying but the raid burnout we suffered from it led to many of the players retiring from the game. The experience in game sadly wasn't quite the same with Cataclysm and the introduction of Raid finder and though I still do play the various expansions that have been released over the years I don't find myself as immersed as I used to be.
What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
I like to say that my favourite thing from Classic is the community itself because it can lead to the enjoyment of the other things in game. The people I play with make it more enjoyable eg Banding together to overcome an enemy or task that would be nigh impossible alone. This is something that I feel that has been missing in the retail versions of the past few expansions in its strive to make it everything easily accessible or obtainable.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
I miss the comradery I felt of being in a guild that respected you even when you made mistakes and didn't take things too seriously and most importantly a relaxed nature. I have sadly found myself guild hopping a lot recently after having several experiences of guilds claiming to be casual and friendly only to find them quite hardcore or myself feeling alienated once joining.
Nighthaven has ticked all the right boxes for me wanting to join so far as it seems to have been created with longevity in mind and I am looking for something for the long haul. I was in amazement at being able to see you guys have something as simple as guild website (I loved the design put in on the main screen btw) instead of just a discord channel which I think is great.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I always enjoyed being part of a team and helping out where I could in a respectful manner, nighthaven looks like it already provides what I would be looking for these days which is a relaxing environment to enjoy the game for a long time to come and have a break from the real world.
Where did you hear of us?
A guild recruit announcement in chat while questing in Darkshire
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
None that i am aware of
Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
I'm 37 Husband and father of a little 6yo Daughter so naturally I cannot commit as much time to wow as much as I used too hope this wont be an issue
Fun Fact: I met my wife back in 2006 during Vanilla and she has played alongside me since
