What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
My characters name is Sorchy, she's a female mage and lvl 16 as of and hour ago. In retail she's a sworn fire mage but she's now giving frost a chance.
What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
For almost two years now I call the UK my home so, time zone GMT. My normal play hours usually after 20:00 when my little one as gone to bed and sometimes I can sneak in an half an hour to an hour in the morning when he's happily having breakfast with his TV show. At the moment my childhood favourite, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
My first experience was when I saw my younger brother running in Elwynn forest whacking wolves with a mace. A week later I was set up with a account as well, it was at the end of Vanilla. I played casually in TBC with some raiding in Karazan, still my all time favourite raid. Then came Wrath, very casual as well, and I completely burned myself out on trying to collect all the mounts and pets from the tournament, still have nightmares. So a little (read: long) break followed. When me and my brother where ready to come back to WoW, we changed servers, and found a social guild that did raiding as well. This guild was great, we both made a few friends for life and this is also where I met my partner. We cleared all the cataclysm raids when relevant, except Ragnaros, if the nerf was just one week later we would definitely have downed him. We had worked so hard and the nerf made the kill feel a bit hollow. Eventually, we all just got busy and the guild slowly died down and most of them went off to another game. Now I'm really just a casual player, but would like to raid from time to time again, I'm really looking forward to exploring Karazan again. I just can not commit to a set day/time anymore.
What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
The main thing that I miss from retail is the community. I may not always notice the chat but in retail there is just nothing. No one asks for help anymore, no one needs help anymore. Mages are no longer vending machines. There are no more Alliance v/s Horde events. I remember once that on our server there was a event to go and kill Sylvana, we all met up in southshore, started the track to Undercity. The lagg was real, but we made it... and then crashed the whole server XD Good times! So yes, I really enjoy the community aspect of classic. grouping up with people for escort quests, meeting at the stone for a dungeon, buffing left right and centre. Drinking conjured up water after every kill. I do tend to be more quiet but I'm always willing to help a player out. I still remember how it was to be a Noob... and totally didn't make a noob mistake then I started lvling in classic again... nope... ^_^'
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
In al honesty, because my partner (Stagg) is hopefully going to join you. If he wasn't I wouldn't want to waste your time. Though when he told me about your guild, I was instantly reminded of our old guild and how it felt like a home away from home. Our old guild used to have events and used a calendar to plan things. It was so much fun and always made me exited to log on and see how everyone was doing. I also appreciate that you guys really go through each application. I can imagine it's a lot of work but it keep your guild from breaking down. I've been in guild that just invite and the drama is real and unpleasant, that's not something you need in a guild you worked so hard for and in a game where you come to relax.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I'm always willing to help a fellow player, if I can of course. I might be a mage but I can only do so much magic in a day. The vending machine however is functional and ready to serve! Portals will be open in about 24 more levels so please be patient with me. I'm also excellent in standing in crap... I mean moving out of it... ^_^, so healers no need to worry! What I expect...? Just a group of friendly people that love WoW classic, are here for the game and the experience and respect one other. And fun, lots of FUN! And who knows... maybe a few more people to call real life friends.
Where did you hear of us?
From my partner. He definitely puts more thought and energy in finding a guild that fits our playstyle so I trust in his judgement. I can only hope that the guild he finds accepts me as a new member as well. But that is for you to decide.
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
I do not, no. Hopefully soon though.
Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
My partner is trying to convert me to British-ness... but at heart I'm a Dutchy, so keep the coffee coming! Ow and send me some real (not the English fake stuff) liquorice if you can, YUM!
