What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
Boza, hunter (at the moment), level 24 as of writing this. However, I usually play healer classes – was just struggling to enjoy levelling as a resto druid, for example. Hoping that TBC will make that a little better
What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
I’m usually on at least a few days a week, around 8pm GMT (BST soon) onwards. Though, as I am working from home, on some slower days I’m on during the afternoon in the weekdays.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I have been playing WoW for around ten years or so, on and off. The times when I was most active was the TBC through WotLK era, where I was part of an active social guild. I did mostly community events, achievements, and some more casual fun raiding.
What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself )
As I briefly mentioned above, the social/community aspect tends to be the biggest thing about World of Warcraft for me in general. For me, Cataclysm transformed guilds from a community into a commodity (obviously, there are exceptions, but that was my personal experience). It feels like Classic has reinvigorated that sense of community, which I’ve loved. In the few months I’ve played Classic, I’ve had more interaction with people than I have in the last 4 expansions of retail – and they were all really lovely, positive interactions.
I enjoy the world, having played Warcraft before the MMO, and I tend to really enjoy healing PvE dungeons; but my favourite memories of WoW were the social moments – organising events for people’s birthdays, chatting with guildies or randoms in the area, doing dungeons with friends and so on.
Aside from that, I also just really like that I can play WoW in a drop in/drop out way. I’ve got a little bit more adulting to do now than I did when I used to play, so I value the ability to play in quiet moments here and there.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
Initially, the effort put in the post encouraged me that this could potentially be a good fit for me as a guild. It showed the care that the senior members of the guild have for creating and maintaining a strong community. You seem to care more about the quality of people that are allowed into the group, rather than quantity. This makes me hopeful that, if I’m a good fit for the guild, this could be a community to make good friends in and with whom I can share my WoW time and enjoy it.
This was then encouraged when I messaged one of your guild members at random in-game (I think it was Vynmarius?) to ask them about their experience in the guild. What they said was super encouraging: that it is a very friendly community of people are good to one another and enjoy sharing the game and making it fun for one another. It seems like a pretty cool, wholesome guild.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
In terms of what I expect of my guild – it is essentially what I’ve mentioned above. I hope that it’s a nice, fairly relaxed atmosphere, where I can share the game with friendly faces, and generally have fun together.
In terms of what I can offer – I will do my best to reflect my own expectations. I will try to be friendly, inclusive and polite. I enjoy helping out others where I can, and generally sharing some light-hearted fun with people when I can. This tends to be when I have the most fun in the game, anyway.
I can’t, however, promise to always be available consistently, but I hope that wouldn’t be expected either. I enjoy WoW, but I also have many life responsibilities to balance, too. If there are social events occurring, I will join if I can and try to contribute and have fun with everyone, but sometimes I just won’t be available.
Where did you hear of us?
I saw the post on the forums, it looked professional and with some effort put into it, which was intriguing. After looking through your website, I whispered a guild member, as mentioned above.
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
Not really, just messaged that one person out of the blue to ask them about their experience. I believe it was Vynmarius, but my memory might be failing me >.<
Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
Um… Well, if it means anything – I’m 25, getting married in the summer and buying a flat with my partner in the next month or two. I work full-time, am a big rugby fan and currently on a big K-drama hype on Netflix. I have eclectic tastes and would love to hear recommendations of what things other people enjoy ^_^
If you’d like to get in contact with me to have a proper chat, I’d be super happy to. I’d love to get a better feel for you guys, too, and whether we’ll get on well.
Thanks for taking the time to read!
