1. What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
My character is Kanati. She is a Hunter and Level 48
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
Depends on what the day brings. If a work day then late afternoon/early evening. If a day off, then maybe early afternoon, sometimes morning. I don't have a set time as such sorry, I kinda go with the flow
Zone time is GMT (UK)
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
Started playing from the start. I was introduced by my then Manager at work. I was a raider throughout Vanilla, TBC, WotLK, Cataclysm and MoP. Some raiding in WoD & Legion, Took a break in BfA so not much happened there as I wasn't too impressed with the xpac and returned to Retail in Shadowlands and left it again after levelling my Hunter and getting just over halfway through the Campaign for Revendreth. Again, not too impressed with the xpac.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
I love the nostalgia the most I think. I remember quite a bit of stuff (bit of a nerd I guess ) but there are naturally things that I have forgotten and when I come across them this time round it brings back so many happy memories.
I love the fact that the levelling lets you really learn a class as opposed to the rushing of the more modern levelling where skills are more or less just handed to you (e.g. Vanilla Hunters were petless for the first 10 levels and had to learn how to kite etc to survive. Now its all handed to you), rather than you learning the reasoning and advantages/disadvantages of the skills.
I can be a fast leveller when I put my mind to it and have the time. Now its more of a steady pace I think as irl needs have changed over the years. But I don't like to dawdle too much, even though I still like to take a moment to enjoy the content, explore etc
Dungeons and raids are fun yes. I am happy to help out if I can. I am not incredibly chatty, I am more of a listener, but enjoy the banter I hear between people and am often giggling to myself this side of the screen.
I am happy to solo content also. This is mainly born of prior experience where others may have expected me to help them but rarely returned the gesture. That was frustrating at the time, however now I am grateful for it as it has made me a more independent player and someone who isn't afraid to give things a go by themselves, even if it means waiting a few levels.
I met my partner in WoW around the end of TBC when I joined his Guild and we've been together ever since. I love that about the game and I think that is one of the reasons why I keep returning; there are so many good times that we shared (and still do ofc lol)
5. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
I like the warmth that you have written with. That isn't something that is overly easy to do well and generally denotes the same in attitude to others. This is a huge plus for a Guild I think, too many go for bloating numbers of members and noone really knows anyone and it all ends up with mini communities in the one Guild.
I like that you see it as a family as such. This suggests instantly that I would feel welcome and that there is approachability within the ranks. It sounds like a place I would be happy to log into each day.
6. Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
Gosh, lets think... "sell myself", not really my strong point for sure Ok well, I am 50, so quite mature, but not ready to be put out to pasture just yet. I still have a sense of fun and humour that is younger than my age.
As mentioned earlier, I am happy to help wherever I can. I am not a loot whore nor a drama queen.. I like my toys in my pram thanks - its snugglier that way
I have been an Officer in many of my previous Guilds and that gives a good insight into what you have to deal with and think of when running a Guild, so I have much empathy for those positions.
Jay, who I believe is also applying, is my irl partner who I met in game some 13 years ago or so. Between us we have good experience and do a lot of gaming together and we both take time to learn our characters and classes the best we can, so we don't expect 'carrying'.
In raiding I have faced many... MANY... wipes, but never once rage-quit or moaned or slated anyone. I just sit here until everyone calms down and get buffed and ready to start over. I am patient to a degree and always try to see all sides to an issue before commenting, and then I only do so if it is something that matters enough to me. I am pretty much an easy-going hippy
What do I expect? I guess simply what you say you offer on the forum. So many Guilds say things, but never deliver. Its easy to type good things, but living up to it all is the big step. That also goes for what I type here of course and hopefully that is something I would get a chance to show within your Guild.
7. Where did you hear of us?
From Jay. He has been researching Guilds for us and he linked your forum to me to read.
8. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
Not that I am aware of no.
9. Anything else you would like to add to help us know, if we´d be a good match for each other?
Not really sure, I just like a quiet and happy life. I don't like drama. I just want to enjoy a game to escape the stress irl and chill out. Oh that and Sylvanas will always be my Warchief (does that nullify my application now? )
Thanks for your consideration
