What is your character name (in-game) and what class do you play?
Yatseck, gnome mage
What hours do you typically play (cite time zone as well.)
usually I can be found online within 6pm to midnight GMT+2 window. I don't play regularly, at least not regularly enough to do some serious raiding.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft (how long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc?)
Started playing on a private server in 2006, also as a gnome mage. In 2007 with a bunch of friends we moved to official server. Friends chose horde side on PvP realm though, so I played as undead mage. We made a small guild, and did a bit of raiding in TBC. Then we merged into a real raiding guild. In the meantime I switched main to a tauren resto druid and we raided till the argent tournament in WotLK. I stopped playing before ICC and returned in the Legion, where I raided a bit on heroic difficulty with first steps on mythic. Then BfA came, and I couldn't play regularly so I dropped off raiding. Also, I didn't really like the expansion, so I stopped playing again. And now I started playing Classic, I thought I would get bored after 2-3 weeks, but seems I'm still here.
I don't like PvP, I prefer cooperation.
I find more fun in doing 10 corpse runs in an instance with a bunch of friends rather than doing clean farm runs. It gets especially exciting when you try to make your way through a dungeon without a tank (healer + dps) or underleveled. Figuring a way out, beating the odds etc.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild.
For a week or two I was looking at the forums to see what guilds are there, and checking their population in the game. What I like about Nighthaven is your code of ethics, and the fact you acually expect people to follow it, instead of inviting just anyone. It also seems the guild is made of adult people who played during vanilla times, so sounds like a great company with a lot "oooh remember XXXX again? I 'member!" subjects to talk about ^^
Plus, the guild isn't crowded.
I hate those zerg guilds where guild chat is so busy you can't make any sense of it.
Also, I like your motto of valuing the journey. For me WoW vanilla has always been about travelling around the world of Warcraft, leveling up and doing some group content, something that retail has lost long ago. Rather than end-game raiding or PvP.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
My mage is frost, so I can conjure cooled water.
I will also humiliate your warriors for being unable to afford any magic school.
But seriously, I like friendly and helpful communities and I like helping too. I would happily join some instance run if I have the time or help with a quest.
And that's just it, I don't have much more to offer. Just some company
Where did you hear of us?
The thread on the realm forum
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven (if so please cite the person)?
Nope
Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
