What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
My characters name is Issca level 44 Mage
What hours do you typically play? (Cite time zone as well.)
My time zone is UK GMT and at the moment I have a fair amount of spare time on my hands so I play sometimes in the day and most evenings for a while.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I've played almost every game series of Blizzards over the years, Warcraft Starcraft and Diablo so it was only natural that when World of Warcraft came along I gave it a go. I started day one on launch in Vanilla and rolled a Warrior on a PvE server. (what else is a guy supposed to role in a new game ? )
I had a brain freeze on choosing his name and ended up with "Carlson". I think every Swedish person on the server must have whispered me. How was I supposed to know that this was something popular in Sweden. ?? and to this day i have no idea what any of them said lol.
Anyway me and Carslon had a great time leveling upto 60 and then suddenly open world PvP at Tarren Mill was a thing. I went to check it out and spent a whole Saturday there doing nothing but eat POM Pyroblast's in the face... damn Mages!!!
I never had as much fun in my life but the very next day I re-rolled a Mage... Issca was born and i never looked back.
( i still have Carlson on my retail account and hes still in the same gear he finished levelling in all those years back).
I joined Issca to a "casual" raiding guild and loved it. I was totally hooked on raiding and the great atmosphere we had in the the raids, we had so much fun.
I still remember my first visit to MC.
We were clearing trash and turned the corner.. the boss ( i forget which ) was in view for the first time. I clicked and selected him to check him out and the last salvo of my arcane missiles ( yes we were that clueless that we used arcane missiles on our first visits to MC lol ) shot across the room and bounced off his head.... wipe !!!!
Someone said it wasn't my fault because arcane missile were bugged at that time..... I have no idea if he was correct but I whole heartedly agreed with him.. it was stupid blizzards fault!!! Well it couldn't have been mine could it ? lol
Somehow and it wasn't intentionally I ended up becoming an officer of the guild and went on to play a big role in running that guild. A guild that treated all its members be they raider or social equally, fairly and with respect. (these are values which are important to me as a person)
On a 2 day per week schedule we cleared 80 to 90% of raid content each expansion upto mid Cataclysm.
Towards the end of TBC raiding with my mage was starting to feel a bit stale and I had levelled a Resto Shaman which I was using in dungeon runs so it became inevitable that with the release of the Wrath expansion I switched to a raid healing role. I found I really enjoyed it, the raids were a different experience altogether as a healer, it felt much more on edge, more demanding and more dynamic and I also felt that I made more of a difference as a healer. Needless to say the shaman became my main right upto when I quit playing.
Now your wondering why I quit, well...
As much as I enjoyed playing the game and raiding my real passion was for the guild and the guild community. So much so that as an officer I did almost everything in that guild except raid lead to a point where it became like a second job. Seems like all i did was work and wow and this affected my RL. I got burned out with it and when my RL circumstances changed meaning I couldn't be as active it was a blessing in disguise. I resigned from being an officer and shortly afterwards quit playing altogether.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild.)
Well, Alunaria told me that if I joined all the current members would send me 50 gold each as a welcome gift. NO ?
ok ok ok!
I have comeback to this game after a 10 year break and I have done so with caution. I do not want to let it take over my life again and I do not want to get heavily involved in running a guild or raiding on a schedule with commitments and responsibilities.
Choosing the correct guild, a guild that suits you and which you suit is in my opinion one of if not the most important decision you make in wow. It can make or break your whole experience and enjoyment of the game.
I'm looking for a casual guild that groups for dungeons and helps each other enjoy the game, where a little bit of raiding is possible if and when it suits.
I want a pleasant mutually respectful adult guild atmosphere with a sense of belonging and community.
(in other words no kids squabbling and bickering over who got what loot).
Nighthaven seems to fit this requirement perfectly.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I'm a team player, as a member of a guild I believe that we are all in this together and we can all enhance each others enjoyment of the game.
I'm fairly resourceful and helpful towards other members.
I have a lot of patience and a liberal sense of humour. I like to joke and tease in guild chat, I like banter and im also happy to be the punch bag for other peoples jokes, payback is awesome
Where did you hear of us?
Someone's little level 1 alt was singing your praises in Westfall. I wonder who's it was ?
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven (if so please cite the person)?
Nope, but I have had a chat with Alunaria twice and I have also had a chat with a few of the guild members.
(you will be pleased to know that they like this guild... alot !)
Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
Yes!! if you decide to have a chat with me, bring a big pot of coffee because I can talk a glass eye to sleep
