What is your character name, what class do you play, and what level are you?
Hi all, Tikitotems here! I'm still struggling to make a choice between either making a Dwarven (Holy) Priest (named Tikitotems) or Human Warlock (Tikichicken). Both would be of course level 1. I want to try healing with the Priest or have the ease of leveling as a Warlock, but if you have any advice to give me to make my choice, let me know!
What hours do you typically play? (Cite time zone as well.)
I live in the Netherlands, so I think my timezone is CET, or just server time?. Since I'm working 40hrs/5 days a week (boooo), I only get to play after work or in the weekend.
Besides that I live together with my GF in our newly bought house, so that also takes in some time ;-) I also go boxing on Monday and Thursday.
Generally, a play session of mine can go for 2hours after work, to a full day on a rainy Saturday.
What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
I played since Vanilla, first character being a paladin and my first 60 a warlock. I played on and off and only missed the Wrath of the Lich King and Mist of Pandaria expansion. Generally I stick to the more casual side of WoW, but I have raided a few times (ZG and AQ in vanilla, Highmaul in WoD and lately Ny'Alotha in BFA. Have roleplayed a little bit on Argent Dawn, but nothing too fancy.
Besides that, I would describe myself as an altoholic, since I love making new characters! My experience with WoW in general have always been very positive. Loved to be part of a community and the people around me. I feel that the people I've met these years have also felt positive about me, since I don't take the game that seriously and just here to have fun and relax. I value and respect other people and their opinions, I always try to see things from different perspectives and keep in mind that this is just a game and there is a world outside of that.
Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note, we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild.)
So, I played a little bit of WoW Classic at the start, like I think almost all of the WoW players, to see what the fuzz was all about. Leveled a Boomkin to level 43, only to have my guild disband and fall apart over a difference in stances over raiding. Some people wanted to raid asap, while others were going to it more casually, like me. Big confrontation and many people leaving that guild. Guild became silent and dead, so I returned to retail. But now I want to give Classic a new chance and I feel that your guild would fit the most in what I'm looking for in a guild for my playstyle. A nice relaxing community to just have fun with in a game, filled with nostalgia, but with great RPG and community elements (that you don't really find in retail anymore). I don't have the time, nor the energy anymore to go get all the world buffs, just so you can down a boss 15 seconds faster, but I do have the time and energy to just chill out with online friends and play the game on the pace that I want. Even though I also play on retail, I feel that this guild can accommodate my type of play.
Which qualities do you have to offer, and - what do you expect of your guild?
I would describe myself as someone whose always in for some small talk or fun stuff. I love just putting on some headphones and music and fish away, or just hang around in Discord. Like I typed earlier, I want to try out healing. So I would love for guildies to give me advice, go on dungeon runs with me and generally just have a blast without the pressure of efficiency or optimization to it.
Where did you hear of us?
I was browsing the WoW Forums and I first came across a post about a reroll project on Flamelash. That sparked my interest again to roll a character in Classic WoW. A few lines below that thread was your recruitment post. First, I went on the Discord of that reroll project, but felt that they couldn't accommodate my type of play. For example, players who were offline for 7 days were kicked and I felt that they were strongly tilted towards raiding and efficiency on that part. Afterwards I still had your recruitment post open in a tab, so I began reading a bit about the guild and the server, and here we are now
Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven (if so please cite the person)?
No, I do not know anyone who is a current or former member of Nighthaven.
Anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
Some more information about me. I'm 31 years old (oof old!), just bought a house together with my gf. Currently working in Online Marketing for a scale up in Healthcare IT, but with COVID-19 working from home now. No kids yet, but give it a couple of years! Love Warcraft lore, transmogs and other silly internet things. Used to be a vivant photographer, but haven't picked it up for a while now and I go boxing every Monday and Thursday.
Thanks for reading my rant! ;-) Hope to see you soon ingame!
