1. What is the name, class and level of your main character on Pyrewood Village, the one with which you wish to join Nighthaven? (This info is needed so we can process your application.
Markeh - Level 80 Paladin
2. What hours do you typically play? (Please include time zone as well)
Pretty much any evening from 7.30pm GMT or 8.30 Server Time.
My timezone being GMT.
3. What is your experience with World of Warcraft? (How long have you played, were you a raider, role-player, etc.)
Started on January 1st 2009 through refer a friend.
Raided Naxx and ICC as current content, missed out on Ulduar (massive regret.) but cleared ToC as pug during ICC.
Cata only really did LFR dragon soul.
MoP Only LFR. - couldn't comit to raiding due to RL.
WoD - cleared most of Highmaul on normal and some heroic, again couldn't commit due to RL.
Legion - Normal and most Heroic Emerald Nightmare, half of Nighthold.
BFA - Didn't even hit max level on release, expansion just wasn't for me.
Shadowlands - HC dungeons only, expansion again wasn't for me.
TBC Classic - Heroic dungeons as a paladin tank with a group of friends, who unfortunately moved onto lost ark.
4. What is your favorite thing about World of Warcraft Classic WotLK? (The community? The Immersion? The progression? Are you a fast leveller or do you like taking your time? Do you like doing dungeons and raids? Chatting with others? Or are you more the solo and quiet type? Tell us a bit about yourself
I loved how the game played back when I first started the game, yes retail is smoother, but the older gameplay and classes had a charm to them.
Wrath was my first expansion and also my first MMO that I played end game, loved the lore of Wrath following on from Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne.
As for leveling, I don't mind quick leveling solo, or taking my time as part of a group clearing dungeons. Chatting in game or on Discord / Forum as part of a guild. Certainly wish Discord had been about when I first started.
5. What are your goals in Classic WotLK, and what do you look forward to the most?
I'm trying to get back into WoW, find a group to call home with. I'd like to raid Ulduar as current, I don't mind if its 10 or 25 man.
I'd like to try my hand at raid or dungeon tanking in Wrath, although I have zero experience in wotlk dungeon and raid content as a prot paladin.
6. Why would you want to join Nighthaven? (Please note we ask for your reasons for wanting to join -this- guild, not just any guild)
The social and relaxed atmosphere is what drew me to apply, a guild that doesn't require 100% raid attendance and understands that the raiding is not the sole focus of their gameplay and would help encourage someone like myself to play a role I'm not familiar with.
The guild I had been in previously was meant to be all of this, however people lost sight of this as they moved onto heroic dungeons and raiding Naxx as many people were still leveling, causing a divide in the people and several people going inactive.
7. What qualities do you have to offer, and what do you expect of your guild?
I take part in discord, forum or in game discussion and activities like mount runs or old content if people wanted to. Also willing play other games occasionally should anyone be up for it.
8. Where did you hear of us?
Pyrewood Village Forums.
9. Do you know any current or former member of Nighthaven? (If so please include the name of the person)
I do not (that i'm aware of.)
10. Is there anything else you would like to add to help us know if we´d be a good match for each other?
I'm a 35 year old that has been playing on and off for 14 years. Never been one to go hardcore on raiding as the moment you turn something into what feels like a second job you don't enjoy it anymore.
Played other things such as FF XIV during Shadowbringers, which reminded me of what I love about MMO games after quitting during BFA. WoW is that one game that keeps bringing you back and I'd love to find a home to play the game that first got me into this genre in the first place.
